FROM STRONG FOUNDATIONS
TO RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP
I was raised by a father whose clarity of thought and disciplined approach to leadership left a lasting impression on me. His guidance shaped both my values and my outlook on building institutions with purpose.
I pursued a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where I developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking and structured problem solving
These early influences prepared me to take on the responsibility of leading my company, working alongside dedicated teams to help build it into one of India's largest integrated infrastructure companies, with a focus on steady growth and long-term value.

Growing up in 1970s India, I witnessed the nation's strong emphasis on expanding power generation and transmission to support industrialization.

Over time, this focus evolved into a broader commitment to sustainable energy, leading to the development of more affordable and renewable power systems. This transformation inspired me to contribute to India's energy sector by advancing integrated and clean energy solutions through my company.

MY APPROACH TO LEADERSHIP
Guided by Core Principles
The principles we follow have shaped the way my company approaches energy infrastructure development across India, with a clear focus on responsibility, innovation and long-term impact. These values have also guided my engagement on global platforms, including discussions on sustainable development at the World Economic Forum, where I have had the opportunity to exchange ideas with leaders from around the world.
As a team, we remain committed to expanding transitional energy capacity and contributing to a more sustainable and secure energy future for the country.

Recognitions Along the Journey
Responsibility and teamwork have always been central to my work. Any recognition I have received reflects the collective effort of the people and institutions I have had the privilege of being part of.
In 2002, I was honored with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for contributions to India's manufacturing sector. In 2007, Business Today included me among the Top 21 Young Leaders, acknowledging a vision centered on sustainable infrastructure. In 2014, I was named CEO of the Year by CMO Asia and the World Brand Congress, a recognition of the progress made in strengthening and modernizing infrastructure.
Each of these milestones reflects the effort of many dedicated people and an ongoing commitment to building institutions that endure and create real impact.

A Defining Chapter
Being named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum remains a meaningful moment in my journey. Around the same period, at my company, we built an asset base of ₹16,000 crores within six years. This progress was the result of disciplined execution, clear direction and the sustained effort of a committed team.

Building for the Future

As I look to the future, the journey is far from complete. The energy sector continues to evolve, and with it comes both responsibility and opportunity. My company has set a target of building a 5 GW portfolio by 2028, with a clear emphasis on expanding renewable energy capacity and strengthening India's clean power base. Recent project wins mark steady progress in that direction and reflect the confidence placed in us by industry stakeholders, earned through consistent effort and disciplined execution.
While these goals are important, what matters more is building with care and contributing in a way that supports the country's long-term energy security. The work continues, and there is much yet to be done - as the words of the poet Robert Frost remind me "I have miles to go before I sleep."
