About
THERE IS NO REWARD
WITHOUT HARD WORK
Raised by a father whose clear vision and strategic mindset deeply influenced me. Guided by his mentorship, I pursued a BSc in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. These foundational experiences propelled me to lead Hindustan Power, advancing it as one of India's foremost integrated power generation companies.

Growing up in 1970s India, I observed the nation's emphasis on expanding power generation and transmission to support industrialization.

Over the years, this focus evolved into a commitment to sustainable energy, leading to the development of affordable, renewable power systems. This transformation inspired me to contribute to India's energy sector by advancing integrated, clean energy solutions through Hindustan Power.
-I am blessed with a wonderful wife, Kavita Puri, and together we have three beautiful children: Kaira, Arman, and Madhav.

My family keeps me grounded and serves as a constant source of pride and inspiration.

RATUL PURI'S LEADERSHIP
“ I believe leadership is about empowering people to take ownership, think independently, and drive innovation. It's not just about achieving goals, but about building a culture where everyone feels valued and inspired. My focus remains on creating a sustainable future that leaves a lasting, positive impact for generations to come. ”
Our Core Values
These transformative energies have enabled Hindustan Power to unify energy efforts across India. I've also had the privilege of promoting these ideas globally, including at the World Economic Forum. Together, as one team at Hindustan Power Private Limited, we remain committed to strengthening renewable energy in India.

Recognitions & Milestones
There is no reward without hard work — and the recognitions I've received reflect a journey shaped by purpose, teamwork, and values. In 2002, I was honored with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for my contributions to India's manufacturing sector.
By 2007, Business Today listed me among the Top 21 Young Leaders for envisioning a future driven by sustainable infrastructure.
In 2014, I was proud to be named CEO of the Year by both CMO Asia and the World Brand Congress, recognizing our strides in transforming the infrastructure space.

ONE OF THE MILESTONE
Being named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum is an honor I deeply cherish. At Hindustan Powerprojects, we built an asset base of ₹16,000 crores within six years — a true testament to belief, strategy, and teamwork.

FUTURE INITIATIVES

The company has signed a ₹620 crore Memorandum of Understanding with the Assam government to invest in a 100 MW solar plant, contributing to the state's renewable energy landscape.

Hindustan Power aims to build a 5 GW renewable energy portfolio over the next three years, aligning with India's goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.
